All Smartmatic systems remain secure and uncompromised

Boca Raton, January 5, 2025 – CrushFTP recently disclosed a vulnerability that was exploited to gain unauthorized access to one of our repositories containing archived files. Upon discovery, we immediately contained the issue, secured the repository, and eliminated unauthorized access.

After a comprehensive assessment, we confirm that all our systems remain secure and uncompromised. The downloaded files primarily date back to 2013–2021. There has been no impact on the security or integrity of our operations or those of our clients, and the incident did not involve any access to our products or election platforms.

In line with best practices and our commitment to transparency, we promptly issued this statement, provided updates, and filed reports with the appropriate authorities in the United Kingdom.
