Belgian elections 2012 - 2014: Services

Because we know what it takes to conduct a successful election, we don’t just provide the technology, we couple our advanced hardware and software with a complete suite of services to guarantee a flawless execution.

In Belgium, we have provided technical support, maintenance and supervision on Election Day, including Help Desk, monitoring and reporting. To be more specific, we provided:

  • Inspection and repair service during non-election years
  • Inspection and repair services, 3 months prior to elections
  • Inspection and repair services after equipment installation in the polling stations
  • Warehouse storage services for client-owned voting equipment
  • Training sessions “Train the Trainer” on location (cities/municipalities)
  • Training sessions "Members of voting offices" on location (cities/municipalities)
  • Demonstration sessions for the voters on location
  • Production of instructive videos and printed documentation for the benefit of polling station staff (presidents in particular) and voters
  • Technical support to the electoral agencies in mastering the election data (by means of the Smartmatic ECM – Electoral Management System – and mass duplicators for pen drives)
  • Delivery of voting system components, controlled from the warehouse
  • Installation, disassembly and retrieval of voting offices
  • Help desk services as of 30 days prior to election day until 1 day after
  • Technical field support on election day including dispatching services for people and equipment
