Venezuela’s presidential election, 2012
Nobel Peace Prize winner, Jimmy Carter, has called the voting system we’ve perfected in Venezuela, the ‘best in the world’. His organization, The Carter Center, is the world’s leading independent election observation organization, having witnessed 96 elections in 38 countries.
This election was the first in the world to feature biometric authentication on a national scale.
The voting platform used in this election involves hardware, software and services we’ve designed around the idea that all political parties audit the process at every stage.
And on 7 October, 2012, this 100% automated system helped Venezuela elect its president completely transparently, accurately and securely.
