Smartmatic showcases innovative technology at NASS

Boca Raton, United States – 8 July, 2019 - Continuing its effort to provide US voting jurisdictions with secure election technology, Smartmatic presented three groundbreaking solutions for the US market at the 2019 Summer Conference at the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS).

Smartmatic demonstrated the Premium Voting Machine, which is an all-in-one device specifically designed for the US market. This state-of-the-art machine is a secure Ballot Marking Device (BMD) that includes a built-in scanner and paper backup. The Premium Voting Machine encompasses the highest levels of usability, accessibility and security for all voters. And, all results are completely auditable.

The Premium Voting Machine is unique in that it provides a triple check verification of voter intent through the printed and verifiable paper record, printed QR code, and the encrypted vote cast stored in the memory of the voting machine. All Smartmatic solutions produce human-readable and verifiable results.

In addition, attendees had the chance to test Smartmatic’s e-poll book, the VIU-Desktop. This fully integrated device supports poll workers with a variety of customizable election processes, which can include voter check-in, voting machine activation, real-time data reporting, and even results collection and transmission.

Smartmatic also presented its newest product offering ElectionSENTRY, a consultancy service to help jurisdictions protect the integrity of their elections. In partnership with Coalfire and the Chertoff Group, two leading cyber security companies, Smartmatic is offering officials assessment, monitoring and maintenance of the security of their entire election operations.
