Robert Cook

Executive Director – Smartmatic USA Board

Robert has over 36 years' experience in the areas of technology and general management, leading regional and subsidiary operations in the systems integration, services and high technology marketplace.

He also has a unique insight into the Latin American markets with sales and financial expertise, business strategic development in managing turn-arounds, mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Smartmatic, Robert was President of the Unisys Corporation's Latin America and Caribbean Division. He was also President of Unisys Brazil, Unisys Mexico and Vice-President of marketing operations for Asia/Pacific and the Americas.

As President of Unisys Corporation's Latin America, Cook saw its market share increased in all industries and business units, while in charge of $700 million in revenues, 5,000 professionals, and overseeing operations in 15 countries.

He was also responsible for coordinating the efforts to implement a matrix organization within Unisys.

Robert is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He has a degree in Business Administration from Wittenberg University, Ohio, USA.
