Fleet management and service optimization

Smartmatic's Intelligent Fleet Management System (iFMS) enables transport operators and transportation authorities to control in real-time the quality of service and the efficiency of the entire urban transit operation. It is also an emerging solution for public safety, with advanced technology to reduce the incidence of crime and safeguard both transit employees and passengers. All applications comprising iFMS have been designed to adapt to an ample variety of public transit organizations, municipalities, port and airport authorities, rail transport networks and roads around the world.

iFMS unifies real-time, comprehensive monitoring and control of rolling stock, an urban surveillance system, and a full-fledged passenger information system, all into one. Its scope enables control over all components of the transportation network, providing connectivity and information terminals for all involved passenger and users, as well as vehicles and other assets. iFMS is fully scalable in terms of vehicles or assets controlled and of the volume of transactions, encompassing: satellite positioning, quality of service planning and measurement, and real-time video and audio surveillance, among many others.

iFMS is an integral part of the Smart Urban Transit Platform, and it fulfills an essential function within our Mobility Control Center.
