SIMS (Smartmatic Identity Management Solutions) consists of the following high-end technology components:
PARmobile is the next-generation device for enrollment of people in field applications. It’s rugged and portable. Everything you need is contained in a handy rubber coated, (ABS plastic) case, including a digital camera and flash, fingerprint scanner and electronic signature pad, all ready to use. No setup is required. Just plug into an electrical power source, turn it on and start enrolling people right away.
PARkit - Designed for deployment in both city and remote regions, this unit integrates a portable computer and printer with fingerprint, signature and digital picture capture components in one rugged airtight and waterproof case. It can be customized to comprise only the elements you need for your specific needs and its simple, friendly interface minimizes the training required for personnel to operate it effectively. The biometric technologies used in the PARkit have been validated in the United States by NIST as part of two testing programs – Scale SDK biometric tests and the Minutae Interoperability Exchange (MINEX).
ID management - To complete the whole process, we offer the powerful ID Management suite of software applications that lets customers execute the entire processing sequence of the identification document—from production to delivery.
PARcentral - The heart of SIMS is PARcentral, the back-office system which not only controls the consolidation of all data captured in the enrollment stations, but also safeguards that the only access to the consolidated data is by authorized users and systems. It serves as the director for the process of duplicate detection and adjudication and interfaces with our own automated biometric identification system (ABIS) or third-party ABIS systems that our client may already have in place. PARcentral includes:
- PARenrollment – Biometric data capture software used to enroll people into the solution. It can run on the PARmobile, as well as in commercial off-the-shelf PCs and laptops.
- PARcontrol - comprises tools to control four critical SIMS processes: data consolidation, duplicate detection, analysis and adjudication.
- PARdashboard – This is the central monitor where progress of the operation is posted. You can examine the evolution of all phases of the project, as well as generate reports of the data collected—from voter lists to statistics.
