Among its diverse technological inventions, Smartmatic features a novel device called the VP300A Voting Pad, or “Electronic Ballot”, (U.S.  Patent No. 7,537,159), which makes easier for the voting authority the task of displaying on a single ballot all the available options of candidates and their political parties to the voters, thus adapting automation to the idiosyncrasy of the voters and enabling them to vote in an easy and quick manner by just pressing on the options of their choice.

Electronic Ballots

The Electronic Ballot works together with and connected to the voting machine and is configured simultaneously with it, according to the specific requirements of a particular event or election on any given location, as per the guidelines of the voting authority.

Among the additional options offered by Smartmatic is printing paper ballots, if required to do so by law or electoral authority.
