Smartmatic to exhibit secure technologies to Latin American business leaders

Caracas, October 24, 2006.- In the information age, process automation is no longer a question of efficiency, it is one of survival. In light of this reality, Antonio Mugica, president of Smartmatic, will demonstrate before his peers, from the most important technology companies in Latin America, how to back up their business?s information through the use of secure technologies. The forum for this demonstration will be the Latin CEO International Summit taking place between April 19 and April 22, 2007.

"We envision a world where secure technologies will enormously empower all governmental and business processes. We are working actively to build the future today," expressed Mugica. Smartmatic is the largest Latin American technology company with offices in the United States, Venezuela, Mexico, Barbados, and Taiwan.

Jorge Palaces, president of Latin CEO International, showed his appreciation for Mugica?s upcoming participation. "We are excited because he will share his vast knowledge and experience with our distinguished guests." The occasion will also be fitting to honor Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino?s Pizza, for his support of college education in Latin America.

The Latin CEO International Summit, in its first occasion, will gather top executives from across the region including governmental representatives and global business leaders in order to explore the present state of international trade and their perspectives in politics, real estate, energy markets, and security challenges in Latin America. The event will be held at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Florida (U.S.A.).
