Smartmatic TIM is top tax-payer awardee in Taguig
Taguig, Philippines, December 18, 2013.- Smartmatic TIM Corporation recently received recognition from Taguig as one of the city’s top twenty corporate taxpayers.
In a thanksgiving luncheon held at the Enderun Colleges in Fort Bonicafio, Mayor Lani Cayetano awarded Smartmatic TIM a plaque of appreciation along with other top taxpayers, and thanked them for their investments that have been spurring the city’s phenomenal growth and development.
"The sheer amount of resources we have allocated for basic social services to Taguigenos in the education and health is a testament of the immense contribution of the business sector to our beloved city’s growth," Cayetano said.
The multinational technology company, which has been based in the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig since 2010, has a strict Code of Business Conduct that puts a premium on compliance with the laws of the governments it has dealings with, including remittances of the correct taxes.
