Smartmatic biometric technology successfully deployed in Argentina

United Kingdom, London - October 23, 2017 - The National Election Chamber of Argentina used Smartmatic technology to validate the identity of voters in the provinces of the north of the country and in parts of Buenos Aires during the elections held on October 22.

The biometric system implemented in the provinces of Chaco, Corrientes, Jujuy, Formosa, Misiones and Salta and in 14 municipalities of the Greater Buenos Aires had an excellent performance throughout Election Day, according to the local press.

We are very satisfied with the operation of the teams, and extremely pleased to have collaborated with the Argentine authorities in strengthening and improving this important election process," said Andres Rombola, Smartmatic representative.

In addition to deploying the technology in the norther provinces, Smartmatic also delivered its devices in the Buenos Aires towns of Tigre, San Isidro, Vicente López, José. C. Paz, Malvinas Argentinas, Hurlinham, Tres de Febrero, Moreno, Merlo, Quilmes, Avellaneda, Lanus, Moron, and Matanza.
