On January 22nd 2010, the Electoral Council of Curaçao held the Parliamentary Elections, where the insular citizens were able to choose their representatives. For the third time, Smartmatic was present, backing its auditable technology in the largest island of the Dutch Antilles which it first provided two years ago.

Smartmatic’s Voting Technology was deployed again in Curaçao, which is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This election marks the third time the Electoral Council entrusts Smartmatic with the task of supplying its services and technology in the insular country.

In 2007, Smartmatic’s Voting Solution was used for the Insular Council Election, and the outstanding success of that process prompted the Electoral Council to continue working with Smartmatic later on 2008, when it carried out an Autonomy Referendum which was also successful.
