Audits

For the Constitutional Referendum the CNE, along with the members of the contending blocks, the observers and technicians, carried out 13 audits to the voting system. These audits included and engineering test, hardware and software check up, a transmission evaluation, an electoral drill and a “zero error” auditing, among others. Besides this, after the referendum, the closing auditing was performed over 54.37% of the machines (after the elections) and  then the automated system evaluation process ended with the later auditing carried out once the machines are taken back to the deposit in which a 1% sample is audited.

Technicians from CNE, as well as representatives of the contending options during the Constitutional Reform Referendum, participated and validated the different tests carried out on representative samples of the 32.939 electoral machines used during the event.
