An important part of Smartmatic’s services is the training of personnel for the voter registration process. Once the Electoral Commission of Zambia selected the staff to work in the project; Smartmatic provided training for Software Engineers, Technicians and trainers. Smartmatic’s experience on similar endeavors rendered excellent results.

The content of the trainings that were dictated included hardware assembly and configuration processes, software applications operation and troubleshooting procedures.

Additionally to the ECZ personnel trainings, Smartmatic recruited and prepared a group of technicians to give support during project execution from a Technical Support Center office located in Lusaka.

The training material (manuals and guides) used in the courses were given to all certified personnel who participated in the training process.
