Scope

For the Parliamentary Elections of January 2010, Smartmatic provided maintenance for the current voting machines, already owned by the Electoral Council of Curaçao. The project also included the deployment of the electoral system throughout the island, as well as training operators and technical analysts.

In this Election, there were 152 voting machines deployed throughout the island, each machine having two electronic ballots in order to expand the available options, and to enable people to cast votes with ease.

In this occasion the voter turnout was approximately 65%.
