Scope
The solution that Smartmatic has proposed for Transcaribe's Integrated Fare Collection and Fleet Control System includes the development, implementation, deployment and coordination of a series of services and systems, with an initial implementation time of 10 months before operation begins.
Among the main technological components of our offer, we can highlight: the platform for the integrated fare collection system, the command and control center, redundant (mirror) databases, wireless and fiber-optic telecommunication networks, the equipping of 17 pay zones (stations with ticket booths and turnstiles) and of 719 buses with card validators/top-up machines and integrated turnstiles.
Also, in a direct interaction with the users, Smartmatic will be able to manage the distribution of 300,000 courtesy cards, as well as the sale of the Contactless Smart Cards and their top-up at points of sale (634 planned), or in the vehicles. The project also involves the design of a user communication and information campaign, so that the system is used efficiently.
As part of the maintenance services, we include the supply of a stock of spare parts, a permanent technical support center and previsions for the growth of the system, and for the replacing and updating of equipment.
